Susan Gzesh is the Executive Director of the Pozen Family Center for Human Rights and a Senior Lecturer at the University of Chicago. Susan will be joined by a lawyer from the National Immigrant Justice Center. This event is the first of a series, RSVP is requested for each session individually.
Attacks on the human rights of immigrants and asylum seekers are in the news every day. Sorting out exactly what is happening in the US and across the world can be confusing and a bit over-whelming to the concerned observer or activist. This topic has special resonance for the American Jewish community because of our own history and our practice of social justice advocacy.
KAM-Isaiah Israel, in partnership with the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs, has organized a three part series of talks by and with immigrant advocates and experts to help us make sense of the headlines and to consider what more we can do.
