Presser at City Council: NoCopAcademy! HellNoHilco! DelaytheTIF!

In ONE meeting, City Council will be taking SIX VOTES to lock in the next Mayor on depriving Chicago’s Black and Brown communities of resources we need to thrive in favor of mega projects the people don’t want!

❌O2019-1154: $95 million #NoCopAcademy: city agreement with AECOM contractor
❌O2019-374: $95 million #NoCopAcademy: zoning reclassification for the site
❌O2019-1156: #NoCopAcademy: general obligation bond for $850 million, $65 million of which to fund cop academy, which will mean $217 million paid out over time
❌R2018-1394: #HellNoHilco Global’s $20 million tax grab to pollute Little Village, funding to replace community-closed Crawford coal plant with 1,000,000-square-foot toxic diesel facility
❌02018-6030 & 02018-6029 #DelaytheTIF Zoning changes that further Sterling Bay’s $6 billion Lincoln Yards project with a $1.3 billion public dollar giveaway

Come through to support the fight back at City Hall!
