Join the team at My Block My Hood My City for our first annual 5K run at MarquettePark. The 5K will take you around this beautiful park as we hope you can take in the scenery and the representation of the city within the park’s 323 acres. You’ll see the basketball courts where some of the city’s greatest have hooped at. The famous Marquette park soccer fields where high school teams can garner a crowd of 1,000 people on a cold September evening. Kids of all credences playing together at the playground, exhibiting true happiness. Family’s holding their annual family reunion and feeding anyone who happens to walk by because that is the true definition of a Chicagoan; being there for one another.
The true beauty of Marquette will be on full display on August 18th. We cannot wait to see you there! Race day includes live music, a history hunt, and prizes for top runners and top fundraising teams.
