Live Recording of “The Axe Files” with Valerie B. Jarrett

Join the IOP as we welcome former White House Senior Advisor Valerie B. Jarrett for a live recording of “The Axe Files” podcast, hosted by Institute Director David Axelrod. She will discuss her path to public service, her perspective on news of the day, and her new book, Finding My Voice: My Journey to the West Wing and the Path Forward.

Ms. Jarrett was the longest-serving Senior Advisor to President Barack Obama, overseeing the Offices of Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs and chairing the White House Council on Women and Girls. She serves as chairman of the University of Chicago Medical Center is a Distinguished Senior Fellow at the University of Chicago Law School. Jarrett serves on the Board of directors of Lyft, 2U, Ariel Investments, the Economic Club of Chicago and the Kennedy Center of Performing Arts. She is also a senior advisor to the Obama Foundation and ATTN.

This event is free and open to UChicago students, faculty, staff and the public. If you cannot attend, please cancel your ticket order on Eventbrite so others may register.

Registration is required. Tickets are general admission and registration does not guarantee a seat.
Tickets are non-transferable.
Doors will open 30 minutes before the event begins. Any unclaimed seats will be released 10 minutes before the event begins.
