We need your help to turn the House BLUE! Join Indivisible Evanston’s Lauren Underwood Working Group on Saturdays through election Day to canvass in IL-14 (Lake County) for Lauren Underwood for Congress. We’ll be knocking on doors and talking to neighbors in Lake County to get make sure everyone knows that Lauren is running for Congress in IL-14 and how important it is to vote in the Midterm Election.
very Saturday We’ll caravan/carpool from Evanston and then meet up with the Lake County Field Director from the Underwood campaign in Lindenhurst, who will give us a brief training and instructions before we head out to canvass door-to-door. If you’ve never canvassed before, this is a great way to learn. Having conversations with folks 1:1 is the way we will win in November! No worries if you haven’t done this before, we’ll have training at the beginning of every shift.
Meeting location, details and coordinator:
Nicholas Greifer, 9222 Lawndale, Evanston IL 60203 (through Sept.)
— Meet at 8:45 and leave by 9:00 a.m.
— Meet in Lindenhurst for training and canvassing until 12 or 12:30 p.m.
— Arrival back in Evanston around 1:30 p.m.
Can’t make Saturdays or that time? There are multiple canvassing shifts in Lindenhurst, and also lots of other areas you can help out the campaign directly. Find out more HERE: https://events.mobilizeamerica.io/underwoodforcongress/
TAKING PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION? No problem! We can help you if you need a ride to the caravan meeting place. Contact Indivisible Evanston at email@example.com or message us here for assistance.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The Underwood Campaign uses an app called “MiniVAN” when we canvass that can be used on a smart phone or tablet (Apple or Android). In advance of your first shift, please download the “MiniVAN” app from the Apple Store or Google Play. Once you’ve downloaded the app, follow the directions to create an ActionID. If you have trouble, please let us know, or the campaign can help you when you arrive for your first shift. No smartphone or tablet? No problem! Let us know in your signup comments so we can alert the campaign how many paper packets are needed. Thanks!
