Emptying the Closet: The Personal and Political of Coming Out

*Seating is limited! RSVP by Sept. 20 at RSVP@cantv.org*

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Rebellion, which is considered a major marker for the beginning of the move towards civil and social rights for LGBTQ+ communities in the United States.

After Stonewall, coming out became a personal and, in some cases, a political statement of identity.

This show will provide a glimpse into what “coming out” means to individuals and communities in Chicago and abroad.

To be a member of the live studio audience, RSVP at RSVP@cantv.org or call 312-738-1400. Please RSVP by Sept. 20!

The taping will be held at CAN-TV Studios (1309 S. Wood). Please arrive by 6:00pm. Taping starts promptly at 6:30pm.
